Ruth G Kaplan

Ruth Gloria Kapan, born June 10, 1922, died on May 14, 2011. She passed away in the comfort of her Port Richey home surrounded by loved ones. A native New Yorker, Mrs. Kaplan worked for over 30 years as a General Services Manager for the U.S. Government. After her retirement in 1979, she and her husband, Irving Kaplan, moved to Port Richey. A member of the West Pasco County chapter of Haddassah, Mrs. Kaplan also volunteered for the Jewish Community Center, taught English as a second language and contributed many volunteer hours as an administrator for her local Social Security Office. She loved music, singing dancing, theatre (especially Broadway), travel and old movies. Services were held at Grace Memorial Gardens and officiated by Rabbi David Levin. Donations in her memory may be made to the HPH Hospice Foundation.
