Aderito Azevedo, affectionately known as “Ace,” passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 62 in Rapid City, Pennington County, South Dakota. Born on February 14, 1963, in San Jose, California, Ace brought warmth, laughter, and generosity into the lives of all who knew him.
Ace was known for his easygoing spirit, infectious humor, and unwavering willingness to help others. A great listener and loyal friend, he always put others before himself, living each day with kindness and compassion.
A proud graduate of an automotive institute in Arizona, Ace was a certified auto mechanic with a deep love for classic cars and Harley-Davidsons. His passion for restoration and appreciation of timeless machines was matched only by his skill. He also had a true love for playing pool, a pastime that brought him both joy and focus.
Ace was a dedicated volunteer with a German Shepherd rescue program, giving his time and heart to care for and rehome dogs in need. He was also a devoted Raiders fan, cheering for his team with unwavering enthusiasm.
He is survived by his daughter, Amber; his brothers, Tom Azevedo and Robert Azevedo; and many other cherished family members and friends. He will be remembered for his big heart, his boundless generosity, and his ability to bring laughter wherever he went.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Heritage Chapel at Lakewood Funeral Home in Hughson, California. A luncheon will follow, and all friends and family are warmly invited to join in honoring and celebrating Ace’s life.
Ace’s memory will forever live on in the countless lives he touched and, in the stories, smiles, and love he leaves behind.
