Ajit Kaur

Sardarni Ajit Kaur was born to Major Kartar Singh and Kartar Kaur on June 5th, 1940 in chuck# 273, Lyallpur. After partition, the family moved to Mullanpur Dakha (Barewal), Punjab. She had two siblings, Sukhdip Kaur and Ravi Kaur. She graduated from high school in Ludhiana. She was married in 1959 to Late Principal Jagjit Singh Dhaliwal. After a wonderful journey of her life, she entered into eternal rest on September 28th, 2018 at 5:25 am with all her family at bedside. S. Ajit Kaur was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son S. Mandhir Singh Dhaliwal. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Navkiran Kaur, daughter Sukhwinder Kaur, son-inlaw Vikramjit Singh, daughter Rupinder Kaur, son-in-law Narinderpal Singh, grandsons Harsumeet Dhaliwal, Gurjot Mattu, Dilnoor Dhaliwal, Sahib Dhaliwal and grand-daughter Jaisleen Dhaliwal. She was a dearly loved mother, grandmother, sister and a strong woman who held her spirits high and acted as an exceptional role model for everyone around her. Her presence brought joy and comfort to everyone around her. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the hearts of many. She followed and carried the values of Guru Granth Sahib, by being a faithful devotee. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter and a caring nature, will never be forgotten. Sardarni Ajit Kaur will be dearly missed and her memories will forever be cherished.
