Alice Samantha Andrews

A.Samantha Andrews, 59, of Oakdale, CA passed away quietly in her home on the morning of Thursday, July 11, 2024. She is survived by her husband, Shawn Andrews; her two daughters Sareena McKinnon and Kirsten Menshew; her mother Johanne Gade; her brother Wilhem MacLellan; four grandchildren, and many family members, friends, and co-workers that loved and were loved by her. Samantha retired as a Corporal from Tuolumne County in late 2023 after nearly 20 years as a correctional officer and court security with Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties. She was part of the Cindy's Restaurant family after many years of working there. She held herself and those around her to the highest standard and would accept nothing less than the best of you. Samantha made her home a safe place for those around her, always ready to play mom or grandma to any kid that walked through her doors. Her love for baking and all-out decorating for the holidays have left big shoes to fill for those around her. Samantha will be remembered for her strength, sarcasm, dark humor, and work ethic, but most importantly she will be remembered for her heart of gold.

Services will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park at 9AM August 4, 2024 with a Celebration of Life to follow. May she rest in eternal glory and peace.
