Alvin Henry Tyler, better known as “Pete” passed away peacefully in Oakdale, Ca at the age of 78. He was born in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Fred and Mary Tyler; all of his friends and family would describe him as a loving, generous, successful, and hardworking family man. Pete enlisted in the Marines (Rank E6) on September 21st, 1959 and was honorably discharged in 1968. He served in the Vietnam War. He was an electrician for more than 50 years and had a successful business, Pete & Son’s Electric. His interests were family, reading the newspaper, and watching CSI. He enjoyed his Sunday’s off which included breakfast at Cindy’s Coffee Shop in Oakdale, followed by shopping at Kmart with Lovone and the grandchildren. Pete Survived by his sons: Walter, Charles, Bart and Curtis (Kristi) Tyler, 9 grandchildren and 18 great -grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His wife Lovone, daughter-in-law Noami Tyler, granddaughter Amber Mclain, brothers John, Walt (Bud) and Avery precedes him in death. Funeral services will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, Ca 95326. Graveside to follow at Restland Garden on October 15 at 10am.
