Amari Xavione Patrick Peterson

Amari Xavione Patrick Peterson, age 14, of Modesto, California, passed away on November 29, 2025. He was born on October 16, 2011, and in his short but beautiful life, he touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Amari was an 8th grade student at Prescott Jr. High School, where he was known for his kindness, bright smile, and strong dedication to school and athletics. A naturally gifted athlete, Amari was exceptional in football and deeply passionate about basketball, a sport he loved with his whole heart. His competitive spirit and discipline carried over into the classroom as well, where he excelled as a 4.0 student.

He is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his parents, Patrick Peterson II and Kimberly Pangnanouvong; his siblings Corey, Kaesanii, Peaiire, and Kimaiiya; and his grandparents Bridget Steens, Patrick Peterson, Stacey Voravong, and Thongsy Pangnanouvong.

Amari is also cherished by his aunts and uncles on his mother’s side: Kristy Voravong, Jimmy Voravong, Johnny Voravong (late), and Jeffrey Pangnanouvong; and on his father’s side by Shaquela Peterson, along with a large extended family who adored him dearly.

Amari’s light, love, and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, teammates, teachers, and all who were blessed to know him.
