Antoniett “Toni” Green, lovingly known to all as Grams, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the age of 98. Formerly of Modesto, California, Toni lived a life deeply rooted in family, faith, and service to others.
Toni was a devoted Christian woman whose strong and unwavering faith in Jesus guided every aspect of her life. She consistently put others before herself and found her greatest happiness in caring for those she loved.
She was born and raised on her family’s 100-acre ranch on Grayson Road, which remained at her home throughout her life. Her deep connection to the land reflected her love of gardening and flowers—passions that brought her peace and joy over the years.
Toni attended Ceres High School and later married Joe Green at the age of 21. Together, they built a life centered on family, hard work, and tradition.
In 1977, Toni began working at the Del Monte Cannery, where she dedicated 35 years of loyal service. Known for her strong work ethic, she took great pride in her work and remained committed well into her later years.
Toni had many talents, especially in the kitchen. She was famous for her homemade pizza, her baking, and—most especially—her cream puffs and cheesecakes at Christmas time; traditions her family will forever cherish. She also loved to read, a pastime she enjoyed throughout her life.
Above all else, Toni deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being “Grams” was her greatest joy.
Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Fontana and Mary (Lombardo) Fontana; her brothers, Andrew Fontana (Nancy), Anthony Fontana (Mary), and Joseph Fontana (Betty); and her sisters, Mary Teuber (Roger) and Anita Hampsten (Ken).
She is survived by her two children, Diane Giuntoli and Albert Green; her son-in-law, Laurence Giuntoli Sr.; her daughter-in-law, Jong Roy; her grandchildren, Laurence Giuntoli Jr., Jennifer Giuntoli, Mike Giuntoli, and Andrea Gray; and her great-grandchildren, Timothy Cribbet, Layla Giuntoli, Maddie Giuntoli, and Gianna Rose Giuntoli.Toni will be remembered for her love for family, her kindness, her selflessness, her faith and the warmth she brought into every room. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so fiercely, and the traditions she created with her hands and her heart.
