Ardeth Carol Beck was born in Walnut Park, CA near Los Angeles to Paul and Gussie Cleveland. The family moved to Hughson in the late 1930s. Ardeth attended Hughson schools and graduated from Hughson High in 1948.
After graduation, she met and married Dale Beck in 1949. Dale was a farmer, and she was a city girl, but she became to love the country life and settled in as a housewife. They were married for 58 years before Dale passed.
Ardeth enjoyed working in her garden, taking painting classes, shopping in thrift stores and yard sales for precious treasures.
Ardeth is preceded by death of her husband Dale Beck. She is survived by her daughter Linda Porhat of Modesto and son Douglas Beck of Oakdale; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Lakewood Funeral Home in Hughson, with burial following the visitation at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, CA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances may be made to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95350.
