
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle Thiessen; his brothers Francis, Norman, and Bill Thiessen; and his sisters Emma Kephart and Martha Thiessen.
He is survived by his sisters Wanda Mauck, Margaret Fetter, Babe Hurlburt, beloved wife of 52 years, Charla Thiessen; his daughters, Evaughn Thiessen and Carolyn Riddle, son-in-law Ryan Riddle; and his cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn DeVore, Kylie Thiessen, and JJ Thiessen, who brought him great pride and joy.
Bruce honorably served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force, a role that reflected his strong sense of duty and commitment. After his military service, he worked for Gallo Glass for 25 years, where he built lasting friendships and retired with pride.
Those who knew Bruce will remember him as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather (or “papa”), and a steady, dependable presence in the lives of those around him. He valued family above all else and leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, hard work, and quiet strength.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Grace Community Christian Church, located at 3754 E Service Rd, Ceres, CA 95307. A reception will follow the service.
Bruce will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
