Dawna you are so missed, there is not a day that goes by without a thought and memory of you. I can still remember and hear your laugh from me joking around with you. 
 I know you are looking down from heaven and keeping a close eye on all your love ones. You are truly an angel and we love  and miss you.❤️

Mom, my life will never be the same with out you here by my side. You are the best mom I could have ever dreamed of having. It kills me every day not being able to call and talk to you. I just wanna hear your voice one more time. It was the highlight of my day when I got to call and talk to you. You always made sure I was ok no matter what you had going on. There isn't a person in this world that could ever take your place. I'm still waiting patiently for the day you come and tell me that you are doing good and everything will be ok.  I know one day we will all be back together laughing and joking around but until then, I will miss you like crazy. There's not a day that goes by that I dont think about you. I thought this would get easier but the truth is, its only getting harder. Ethan is so lucky to be able to have spent his first year with you, he will never forget about you. I promise. I love you more than you could ever imagine. I will see you again one day and we can catch up on all the time we have lost.

    I miss my best friend. I am still in denial that I can’t be with you everyday or call you a million times a day. I don’t want to accept the fact that I have to say goodbye. So I’m not going to.  I know your still with me everyday. I know your listening to me and helping me get through life, so I will continue to talking to you everyday. Life is not the same without you. Everyday I try my hardest to act like I’m ok. But in reality I’m truly struggling to even get by. I try to be tough but being tough only gets me so far. I need you in my life. I can’t wait until the day I get to see you again. Once I do see you again. I’m never ever going to let us get separated again. I’ll never let you go. We will still be the best of  Friends forever.  You are the best mom in this whole world. You did everything in your power to make me and Tyler happy. Always. You always put us first. I want to thank you for always being there for me and never giving up on me. You deserve the world.  I hope you got the prettiest white wings ever. Preston and Connor think the world of you too and still ask about you all the time. You are always going to be the best grandma in the world. You are the strongest women I know and I admire you so much. I hope that in my lifetime I can even be half as strong as you. I love you so much mom .

Dear Dawna 
I miss you by my side. I wish the sky's could open up and I could see your beaming smile again. I wonder if your looking down at us. I know someday we all have to say goodbye but saying goodbye to you in March was the loneliest feeling I have ever felt.  Things will never be the same without you! To know I may never hear you and you may never hear me again is so deafening. I've never felt this lost before even though I know I'm strong inside . I have to remind myself  I have to be strong like you had to be. Everything seems tangled up in you. You'll always be my shining angel. I miss hearing you say " I want to sleep with my sissy , not in my hospital bed." I would lay down my life for you again and again if I could just have you next to me. I miss your goodnight kiss and the sweet sound of your voice saying goodnight sister. I know you had to spread your tiny wings and fly away but I feel such emptiness without you. I wish you could have taken me with you when you went so I could have helped you set up your new home. I wish I could find a way back to you. All that's left of you  is the love in all of our hearts. I hope I was everything you needed me to be. I wish I could look into your eyes again. My life has always been rough but at least I had you. I miss being together as we have always been.  This will be a long lonely road without you. When I feel weariness I picture your bright beaming smile and I smile too. Thank you while you were on this earth you gave us the gift of your smile. Your body  lies beneath the grass but I'm still learning to let you go. I wish you could be everywhere I go. I want you by my side so I won't ever feel alone again. I see you so often when I close my eyes. You had a gift of listening with your heart. I picture you flying with the angels. Moving on without your sweet face is so difficult. I appreciate everything  you've ever done for me. You've been there for me all my life .  What will I do without you ?  Where would I be today without you ?  Sadness covers my soul . By losing you I lost everything.  I stare at the sky hoping to get a glimpse of you. I wish you could come into my room and give me one of your big bear hugs. I miss tucking you in at night. I miss your warmth and your bubbly bright face. I loved the way you made me feel. I wish I could hold you now. I miss the sound of your  sweet voice.  I want you to know my darling sister I tried to watch over you while you were here. I've always  loved you in every way.  I hope I brought you as much happiness as you brought me. You were always patient with me letting me find my way. We've always stuck together like two peas in a pod, I never imagined  anything could separate us. I'm feeling such loneliness without you. Sorting through our memories always brings me back. You had a way of making me smile, I miss that. I feel like I left you behind  like I could have done more to make you well. I wish I could have kept you safe. I miss talking about our day and the laughter in your eyes. I hope you have always known how I feel about you. Who's going to enjoy the pitter patter of the rain with me now ? I miss when we were kids playing in the woods , making make shift cabins beneath the birch trees behind our family home.  I know I have to reach beyond this pain. I know I have to go on without you. I know in time I will pick up all these pieces. Your laugh and smile will forever be etched in my mind. I'm so glad I had you for my very own sister. I just wish I could have kept you longer. I wish I could travel to you and spend one more day in your presence. This is not the end sister I know I'll see you again . We will rejoice again. I long to be with you. You can't come home but someday I will be home with you until then my sweet angel Rest In Peace.

Dawna, my dear and treasured friend.
I will always hold you close to my heart until we meet, again.  I hold onto the thought that you and Brenda are in Heaven laughing and carrying on like you did on earth.  I find so much comfort in believing that you are together.  It was Brenda's passing that brought us together.  We helped each other through that and so much more.  Over the next four years, you and I became best and true friends in every sense of the word.  I felt gratitude for each and every moment that I spent with you whether it be traveling, shopping, crafting, on the phone, at the doctor's office, hospital, at my house or your house.  It didn't matter, I felt so complete when I was with you.  Nothing else mattered more than being by your side and helping you in any way that I could.  We could sit for hours sifting through buttons or corks to make the perfect craft project.  Anyone that knew you, knew it had to be perfect!  I can hear you laughing as I write this.  Every craft project, party, or special gift that you gave, to anyone, was a gift of love straight from your heart. 
I will be eternally grateful for you being there for me through so much loss in my family, too.  You were always available to me with open arms and you gave me  so much comfort.  Now, I am trying to live my life and find my new normal.  But with your never ending spirit and will to live;  I live with your strength, determination, love, example of living life to the fullest, and your will to never give up.  Every moment of joy in my life will be in honor of you, my best forever friend.  I love you! 
To all of the Provost family, I thank you for accepting me and loving me as part of your family.  You will all be cherished, by me, forever.

(1/2) Memories of my aunt Dawna I always felt love. My aunt with all her fun and silliness, knew how to love with no reservations. No matter the scenario or type of person, she was inclusive and at home in herself. She made me feel safe and known. I have always wandered in my life, traveling and moving often, but in the rare moments where I was able to get “home” to my family, Dawna created a space in her house, in her heart, and in her ability to listen and laugh that made me long for more time with family.
My husband always says that, “Family is a group of people who wouldn't otherwise be friends”
That idea centers around how different siblings and family can be, but how what pulls us together is two people who fell in love, out of this family is created, truly for better or for worse. And how lucky we are to be surrounded by people who we might not have befriended otherwise, because of our differences.
Often with siblings or family you have conflict as you find out how different you are, but being family draws you back together. Having the status of family being the only commonality, wasn’t the case with Dawna. Dawna was easily one of my favorite people, I felt full of life and loved spending time with her. She had a natural ability to create fun around her. The life of the party, but genuine and real.
From when I was little she has brought laughter and fun into my life, and that laugh! She shares that laugh with my grandpa Pete and now my mom. I can’t mimic it, but I hope to laugh like she does as I get older, with absolute abandon and often it’s utterly inappropriate ... 


Dawna,
I will miss so many things about you-your smile, positive attitude, loving nature, wit, and sense of humor and fun.
You were taken from this world too soon, but I am thankful you had such a loving husband and family for your time here on Earth.  I am also grateful that you got to see your children married and spend some time with your grandchildren.
It will be hard for your family to go on without you, but they will make it because you showed them what it is to be strong.
I think of you often and will continue to until we meet again.

Aunt Dawna,
When people walked away from being with you they thought, “Wow, that was fun.”  They thought, “I am so glad I went.”  They thought, “Gosh, it was so good to see Dawna”.  What people remember most, and what sticks with them is how someone makes them feel.  You made people feel good.  You made me feel good.  I loved being around you, and I looked forward to it.  I have so many memories of drives to the Modesto Reservoir, play times at your house, holidays, and when I was older of phone calls, messages, hugs, craft times, and just short or long visits with you.  I love you and am so grateful you are my aunt.  
Your “Oh honey” and “Oh sweetie” are in my head and is something I just pray does not go away.  You always had a way to stay positive, to laugh, to make a joke.  But most of all, you loved loving people.  You were made to be a mom, and boy did it show.  
I loved and admired you so much for your priorities, I feel like you had your priorities straight.  Your love for your family and your faith shined so bright. 
 I miss you already. I’m so happy that you are no longer in pain and tortured by not knowing all the answers you so desperately wanted to know.  
I hate that you “lost” the battle with cancer and that you are not one of the survivors here with us on earth, mostly because this is all we know and it’s hard to picture life here without you, your smile, your hug, your loud laugh, funny commentary, and your caring heart.  
You always said that I had a special place in your heart, well Dawna, you do too.  I have that space saved for you, so please keep filling it with memories, voices, and feelings.  
I hope that what happens from now on out brings you glory, points right to you and what you would love to see happen.  
I love you and look forward to seeing you again one day.

Dearest Dawners, I will miss your smiles and your laughter, I will miss your sarcasm and your kindness. It saddens me to know you won't be able to enjoy my Kalua pig and rice. I was looking forward to cooking it just for you. It breaks my heart to see your family (our family) having to move forward with their lives with out you being there. But we all know you're in a better place. No pain, no suffering, no crying. Nothing but joy and happiness. You will truly be missed and you will always have a special place in my heart. We shall never forget you and all the good you brought to a world of bad. I Love You Dawna and we will see you again.

From the moment I met Dawna I knew she was someone very special. Dawna accepted me into her family and treated me as one of her own. Her unconditional love and support never wavered. Her infectious personality, beautiful smile, excitement for life and joyful laughter brightened every life she touched. Her love for her husband, children and grandchildren was so apparent, she truly adored them all. Her kind words and advice on life from our last conversation will be cherished as well as the fond memories I have of Dawna. She will forever hold a special place in my heart.

My time of friendship with Dawna was way too short. However, I will forever be thankful for each moment we shared. Her laughter was infectious, her smile radiant and her love of life, family and friends nevered wavered.  I will always cherish the gift of her friendship.

Dawna, Thank you for being such a wonderful wife for almost 30 years.  I knew from day one that I wanted you in my life forever and you always will be.  I was so fortunate to have had such a beautiful, happy, strong and caring angel like you in my life.  I will never forget your beauty inside and out.  I love you more than words can express.  You were everything to me and I will miss you terribly.  You will be in my heart and in my thoughts every day.  Just know that I will Love You Forever!  Rest in peace Sweetheart.

Dawna you're always so happy and the life of any party, your laughter and smile would brighten the darkest days and would make anyone's day better including mine. Until we meet again I will miss you.

Dawna, you were and you still are very special to me (and to all of us here in Toronto, your Canadian family).  I will cherish the memories from our times spent together. Even though we lived far apart, I always felt close to you, and to all our U.S. Family. Because you were the kind of person to show how much you cared, and always made people feel loved, it didn't matter the distance in miles. 
We sure had some laughs when we were able to get together. The wedding for Zachary in June 2014 was the last time I saw you, and those days remain some of the fondest in my memory. Your beautiful smile and laughter are vivid still today. The world was, and remains, better for having you in it. I will love and miss you always.

Goodbye for now our sweet friend. So many fun memories of our times. I will always treasure these last months with you. You are the strongest, kindest, and funniest person I will ever have known. I will miss you every day Love Bug. 

Her love and laughter live on.  She was one of a kind.  Fond memories of shared times, hilarity, and her wonderful smile will be with us always. My condolences to the Provost Family. I was so Honored to meet with and pray with Dawna several weeks before she went Home to Heaven. 
She was beautiful in every way and that day I spent with her I will cherish always. 
She will be missed but all of heaven was rejoicing upon her coming home, for to absent from the body is to present with the lord, where there is no more sickness, no more suffering, and no more crying . where there is only joy unspeakable and full of Glory.
I pray for those left behind that the comforter the Holy spirit bring you comfort and peace in this time of morning.
