Deborah Lynn Thomas

Deborah Thomas, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2025. Born in Spokane, Washington, Deborah later graduated high school in Merced, California. She built a successful career with Farmers Insurance, dedicating over 20 years to Claims Services before retiring.

Deborah was the cherished daughter of Linda and Leroy Marcus and the devoted wife of Danny Thomas. She was a proud and loving mother to her four sons: Josh Thomas and his wife Crystal, Bob Smith and his wife Jennifer, Jarred Thomas and his wife Jessica, and Tom Smith and his girlfriend Tiffany. Her family was her greatest joy, especially her fourteen grandchildren: Shayden (and fiancé Josh), Austin, Landon, Bridget, Madelyn, Brady, Andrew, John, Cameron, Ava, Dani, Cameron, and Carter.

She was deeply loved by her extended family as well. Deborah was the treasured niece of Kathleen Schoen and Darlene Buettgenbach and the granddaughter of Virginia Buettgenbach. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother Linda Kay Marcus and her grandfather Lt. Col. Max A. Buettgenbach.

Deborah’s life was marked by her dedication to family and her ability to bring warmth and love into every relationship she nurtured. Her legacy lives on through the countless memories shared with those who knew her.
