Donny Dewayne Spradling, of Ceres, CA passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 in Modesto, CA. Born in Lubbock, Texas on June 3rd 1943, to parents Frank and Elnora Spradling. He lived in Texas, Arizona, and Oregon before settling in California.
Don loved the Bible and taught it whenever he could. Don enjoyed spending time in Bible studies and loved helping others learn the gospel and most importantly, how to teach the gospel to others. He loved saving souls! Don was a member of the church of Christ in Hughson, CA. He attended The School of Practical Evangelism by Ivan Stewart in Arlington, Texas and after graduating in 1973 worked through the years for the church of Christ as a Personal Work Director. In the 1990’s he worked in construction as an Electrician and then later as an Electrical Estimator. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Don loved spending time with his wife, family and the church.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Karen Spradling; his sons Cash Spradling (Terri); August Spradling (Carey); Paige Spradling (Kris); his brother Jim Spradling; his sister Leona Renfroe; and eight grandchildren.
Don is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Elnora; and siblings James, Johnny (Donny’s twin), Bickford and Patsy.
Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, September 18th, 2021, at church of Christ in Hughson at 11:00 AM.
