

Don passed peacefully into the Lord's hands on the morning of Thursday, August 11th. He was born October 17, 1932 in Merced, California to the late Shirley Smith and Richard Fulton. He is survived by his wife, Luetta Stepper Fulton and their children; daughters, Lori Gray (Terry) and Rhonda Bankston (Charles Jr.) and sons, Dirk Fulton (Marylou) and Lance Fulton (Vilene); and 7 grandchildren, Taryn Bankson (Dewey), Jillian Rodriguez, Shannon Fortuna (Joseph), Charles Bankston III, Janay Bankston, Donald Bankston and Samson Fulton (Kayla) and 4 great-grandchildren; Dominic Rodriguez, Logan Bankson, Rylie Bankson and Sophia Fulton. Proudly serving his country in the Air Force during the Korean War, he chose to volunteer rather than be drafted. Don, a natural athlete excelled at every sport that he played, but was most at home in the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and traveling to Monterey with the love of his life; Luetta, married 61 years. He worked for Farmers Insurance for 35 years and retired with a position named for him; Commercial Sales Manager, due to his training abilities. Also a member of the Lutheran Church, he and his wife were very active and he served as an elder for many years. He was the patriarch of the family, that divided his attention from being head of the family gatherings, to coaching and teasing his grandchildren, imparting wisdom and guidance to all his loved ones. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00am on Saturday, August 20th at the Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA with a graveside service following.
