

Donald Bruce Taylor, age 83, passed away in Modesto, Ca on April 25, 2013. He was born in Mesa, AZ on February 22, 1930 to Alma Reeves Taylor, Sr. and Florabel Tiffany Taylor and was the 4th of 9 children. He attended schools in Mesa and came to California in 1963 to attend Cleveland College of Chiropractic. He became a chiropractor in 1967 and had offices in Modesto, Sonora and Santa Maria. Donald was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family was very important to him and he went to many special events in his children's and grandchildren's lives. He is survived by his wife Barbara Taylor, his children Cheryl (Larry) Stamps, Ann (Steve) Loper, Donald (Karen) Taylor Jr., Gary (Rosalie) Taylor, Shawna (Mark) Peters, Janie (Jeff) Sharpe, his stepchildren Delores (Don) Ward, Gail (Willie) Wood, Gary Covey, Bob (Diana) Covey, Dale (Darcey) Covey, 43 grandchildren, 51 ½ great-grandchildren, 7 ½ great-great-grandchildren, brothers Gene and Glen Taylor. Donald was preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law, Rodney (Danni) Taylor, granddaughter, Allison Scott, father, mother, brothers, Alma, Robert, Darrell, Lavier, Dean, Sister Ellen and 1st wife, Louise.
Visitation will be Friday, May 3, 2013 from 4-8 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11:00 am at Modesto Stake Center LDS Chapel, 731 El Vista Ave, Modesto, CA. Family visitation will precede the service at 9:30 am. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park. Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Aid Society, 700 McHenry Ave, Modesto, CA 95350
