Born 1929, Dorothy M. Young of Oakdale native of Phoenix lived in Oakdale for 70 plus years. Dorothy attended 4C's Commercial College in Fresno and Modesto Jr. College. She worked for Modesto City Schools and was a meat wrapper, rancher and caregiver. She was a member of order of job's daughters. She was a member of Butchers Union, Blue Diamond Growers, and First Baptist Church. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and camping. Dorothy is survived by her children; Gary Taboada of San Andreas , CA. Don Taboada of Oakdale, and Joella Taboada of Pacific Grove, CA. Brother Leon Pettit of Oakdale, Leo Pettit of Reno, NV, three grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband's Joe Taboada and Bill Young.
