Doyle Wayne Stewart

He passed away Thursday, the 27th of August 2015 at his home in Modesto, CA. He was born on the 14th of October, 1931 in Springer, Oklahoma to Amie Odell and Richard James Stewart. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Joe is survived by his wife Beverly Stewart of California. His kids: Lois Wynne of Arizona, Joel Stewart & wife Cheryl of California, Tina Forkins of California and Richard Stewart & wife Felicity of Oregon. He also had 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers; Kenneth Stewart & wife Donna, Carson Stewart & wife Carolynn and Lonnie Stewart & wife Brenda, all of Oklahoma.

Joe served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard at rank of Private First Class and was a Korean War Veteran. After 2 years of service, he worked on the farm and then went to work as a Journeyman Nailer in construction until he retired in 1997. He had a love for collecting rocks from different places he would work and visit along the way. Each rock had a story about its origin. He was a giving man and always helped those he could. He was a man of few words but loved his family dearly.

All services will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, CA. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015 from 4pm to 8 pm. The Funeral will be on Thursday, September 3rd, 2015 at 1 pm.
