A 1973 Tracy High School graduate, he had worked as a salesman and was a member of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post. He lived in Tracy all his life.
Survivors include his children, Cheyanne Cooper of San Francisco and Andrew Andavaso and Daniel Andavaso, both of Manteca; mother, Mary Kathryn Ransted of Tracy; stepmother, Patricia Cooper of Tracy; siblings, Butch Cooper of Lockeford, Ellen Thomason of Idaho, Robbin Campbell of Tracy and René Ghilarducci, Jamie Levine, Cherie Wisenhunt, Kathy Sharp, Henry Cooper and Carol Busch, all of California; and two grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his father, Huestis Cooper, and stepfather, William Ransted.
