On January 20, 2015, Frank Ashworth passed peacefully from this life at the age of 71. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 51 years, 2 daughters and their husbands, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He also leaves behind a sister and her husband and several aunts and uncles he adored as well as a multitude of friends. Frank was a member of the Church of Christ; teaching Bible classes and serving as an Elder. He served as a drill sergeant in the United States Army. His life was dedicated to the fire service for 35 years, many of those working tirelessly to improve safety and training for his fellow firefighters on the line. After 25 years of service, he retired from Modesto City Fire Department and continued for another 10 years as the director of the Regional Fire Training Center at Modesto Junior college. He enjoyed backpacking, fishing and was a Yosemite enthusiast. He was loved and admired by all who met him.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 24th at 1:00PM at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Avenue in Hughson.
