February 28, 1955 - January 24, 2011
Gary Overcash, age 55, of Hickman peacefully ended his battle with cancer
surrounded by his family's love. He was born in Mooresville, North Carolina to
Raymond and Judith Overcash.
He had a very strong sense of family and was a highly skilled, 3rd generation
union Ironworker for 35 years. After retiring he worked as an Estimator for two
crane companies that utilized his skills for complex rigging jobs.
Gary liked fishing, boating, riding ATV's, camping and shooting but he LOVED
riding his Harley. He was a former HOG Director and the founder of the Widows
MC, a group who donated their time to cook and serve meals for over 10 years at
the Sierra Hope Ride fundraiser for MDA. He and Sharon loved motorcycle trips
with their "Widow" family.
Gary is preceded in death by his father Raymond Overcash. He is survived by his
mother Judith Overcash (Hickman); Sharon, his wife of 35 years, daughters; Sanda
Zuck (Kevin) of Missouri, Nikki Faulkner (Jeff) of Waterford, CA., Carrie Coldicutt
(Shane) of Turlock, CA. and Jody Overcash of Modesto, CA.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Kimberly and Madison Zuck, Jack and
Luke Faulkner and Gary and Ryan Coldicutt and his brothers Bobby Overcash of
Salida, CA., and Raymond Overcash of La Grange, CA.
Our family wishes to thank Memorial Medical Center's ICU nurse Genetta and
Resp. Therapist Terry for their extreme dedication and compassionate care they
gave Gary on the most difficult day of our lives.
