Grace was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family gatherings were especially dear to her heart, and she was happiest in the kitchen, cooking and baking—particularly during the holidays—sharing her love through the meals and treats she prepared. She spent many years working in the school cafeteria for the Los Altos School District. Her faith was strengthened and community as a longtime member of New Hope Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Keyes, California.
Grace is survived by her daughters, Linda Peterson (Greg) of Atascadero, California, and Brenda Hernandez (Ron) of Hughson, California; her siblings, Wayne Bell, Dewey Bell, both of Dayton, Washington, and Lula Bell of Tooele, Utah; along with six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, who will cherish her memory always.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ervin “PeeWee” Dunaway; her parents, Nancy Leona Bell and Elda Bell; her siblings, Jean Fogel, Christine Abston, and Dwain Bell; and her daughter Glenda Raabe and son-in-law John Raabe.
Grace will be remembered for her warmth, and her devotion to family.
