

Hurley Dennis Cogburn Jr. entered into rest on May 8, 2016 at the age of 79. He was born to parents Hurley and Jesse Cogburn in Fort Worth, TX. He lived his life as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Hurley was a plumber for 35 years and spent time in Africa as a missionary working on plumbing projects and helping with God's work. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and camping with family and friends. Hurley loved Waterford and was involved in his community as the Waterford Baseball Commissioner for Star's Police Department. He was a great story teller, collected guns, made bullets and played music.
Hurley was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Wanda Cogburn and siblings Doyle, Gaynelle, Joy, Ruby and Mary. He is survived by his two sons Floyd Wayne (Sandra Lee) Cogburn and Jeffery Lynn (Susie) Cogburn, brother, Dewey Cogburn, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. "Pop" as his loved ones called him, was bigger than life and was there if you ever needed anything from him. In the end Pop is back with Nan where he wanted most to be when she left. "Amen"
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the South Hyland Garden at Lakewood Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to share their memories and condolences at www.lakewoodhughson.com
