Ima Jean Powell

Ima Jean was born on September 11, 1935 in Holtville, CA to parents Jack & Helen Roche. She passed away on January 10, 2022 in Modesto, CA. Ima Jean enjoyed people and volunteered for the Salvation Army. She was active in Home League and enjoyed bowling, gambling, and attending church. She loved the Giants and NASCAR and loved getting together with her family – they were the most important people in her life.

Ima Jean is survived by her children; Jeff Hennings of Washington, Mark Brennan of Oklahoma, Debbie Oyler of Ceres, Laura Johnson of Riverbank, Shirley Lawless of Porterville, Donna Gowen of Modesto, and Kevin Wolf of Texas, her brothers; Jack Roche of Oakdale and Tony Roche of Escalon, as well as by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Bobby Wilson of Soulsbyville, her sister Margaret Gamino, and her brothers Andrew Roche and Joe Roche.

Lakewood Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Powell family. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 beginning at 11am, followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 1pm with a Graveside Service to follow. All services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home & Lakewood Memorial Park 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326.
