Irene Smith, age 89, of Modesto, California, passed away on Monday, February 13th after a brief illness. She was born in Pocasset, Oklahoma to parents Roy and Emily (Welch) Gentry. She was a homemaker and a resident of Modesto since 1972. Irene is survived by her loving husband, Charles R. Smith of Modesto; children, Gene Morrison of Bremerton, Washington, Joseph Morrison of Gardnerville, Nevada, Linda Goff of Lodi, CA., and James Morrison of Stockton, CA.She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 30 great grand-
children, 9 great great grandchildren; siblings, Naaman Gentry, Alice Wood, Rosa Noah, Mildred Chitwood and Edward Gentry all of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her loving son, Michael C. Smith and brothers Ira Gentry and Raymond Gentry of Oklahoma and sister Ruth Yates of Stockton, CA.
