

James Lynn Haston passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2018 at the age of 77. James was born on October 2, 1940 to Maggie and McGary Haston in Paris, Texas. At the age of 6, his family moved to Lincoln, Alabama where they lived for six years. In 1952, his family moved to Ceres, California where his father became a Fruit Contractor. James loved working with his Dad in the Fruit Business. He spent many hours of his youth working to help his family. James attended Ceres High School and was in the Graduating Class of 1958. He went on to marry Phyllis Davis and together they had two children, a son Jim, and a daughter Donna. James enlisted in the U.S. Navy for the next three years where he gained further experience in machinery repairs. His Navy experience came in handy when needing to do repairs in all areas of his life. In 1976 at the age of 36, James moved to Villa Park, CA where he spent the next 25 years in the Medical Business before retiring. He is preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Maggie and McGary Haston, his sister, Sandra Tiwater Goad, his brothers, Jerry Haston and Gary Haston. He is survived by his life-long companion Rosilee Gamboa of Villa Park, his son and his wife, Jim and Angie Haston of Oakdale, his daughter and her husband, Donna and Patrick Haug of Modesto, six Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren. James will be remembered for his unique personality with an unforgettable character all of his own. Those who loved him will also remember the softness in his heart and his deep devotion to his pets that he loved so dearly. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted with Lakewood Memorial in Hughson, CA. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 24th, 2018 from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. The Funeral Service has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 25th, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. both to be held at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Avenue in Hughson, CA. In lieu of flowers, it is his wish that Donations be made to an Animal Rescue or Charity.
