Jane Sarah Gonzalez, who was a longtime resident of Modesto passed away after a short illness at the age of 73 on August 25, 2017. Jane was born to Virgil and Julia Shaw (Evans) in Oakland, CA. She was raised in Waterford along with her four brothers, Virgil, Frank, Robert, Fred and twin sister Jean. She married Pedro Perez Gonzalez in 1966 and together they raised four children. Jane is survived by her husband of 50 years, Pedro Gonzalez, children Sarah Pena (Victor Penal, Angela Peters (Robert Peters), Pedro Gonzalez, Jr. (Kimberly Gonzalez), Francisco Gonzalez (Sujei Gonzalez), siblings Frank Shaw and Fred Shaw and eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was known as "Nana" to all her grand and great grandchildren. She loved reading, watching old movies and listening to music. Her favorite pastime was taking care of her grandchildren. Nana we will miss you! Services will be at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Hughson, CA on Friday, September pt. Viewing at l1am with services beginning at 11am.
