Mr. Taylor passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 13 at the age of 77. He was born in Texas to parents Jessie and Bessie Taylor and moved to this area when he was 4 years old. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Modesto, CA. He worked for the Ceres Unified School District as a custodian for 20 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Sheila Taylor; sons, Tracy, Sheldon, David and Dennis; sister Bonnie Schuttie and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bessie and Jessie; sisters, Geraldine Catlett, Ailene Baird and Rita May Taylor (infant).
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, with a chapel service on Friday at 11:00 AM, both to be held at Lakewood Funeral Home (Heritage Chapel), 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, CA. Lakewood Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
