

Judy was born in Chicago, IL on June 24, 1944, to Frank and Florence Schippits. She was one of ten children. She had two brothers and seven sisters. Judy graduated from Thornton Township High School, Class of 1962. She married her first husband, William Hilgen, in 1963, and had a total of five children together, three sons and two daughters. In 1979, they moved their family to Modesto, CA. Judy worked as a Daytime Mainframe Operator at Stanislaus County Office of Education, for 19 years. In her spare time, she became a member of Toastmasters International, where she enjoyed public speaking and shared her self-written poetry. Judy married Jerry Rexin, in 1998, where they enjoyed living the country life, in Hughson, CA. In 2018, she married the love of her life, William "Bob" Dill and lived out the remainder of her life, in Chowchilla, CA.
Judy was an active member of the church community at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, in Turlock, CA. She loved serving the Lord by volunteering, organizing church events, and participating in the church bible study group. Judy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, baking, traveling, dining out, shopping, arts and crafts, decorating for the holidays, country music, writing poems, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, playing Canasta, Scrabble, and Yahtzee, and collecting decorative bells and pig figurines. Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and caring person to her extended family through marriage. Judy will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Judy is survived by her husband William "Bob" Dill, and her children; Ginger (Kenneth) Harrison of Rocklin, CA, Daniel (Melinda) Hilgen of Sonora, CA, William (Martha) Hilgen of Turlock, CA, Richard (Melissa) Hilgen of Riverbank, CA, and Sabrina (Jason) Pearson of Hauser, ID, sixteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings; Barbara Widing, Ronald Schippits, Janet Radunz, Florence Cockrell, Frances Bennett, and Raymond Schippits.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; Frank and Florence Schippits, sisters; Geraldine Raftery, Christine Straczek, and Marilyn Boone.
Visitation for Judy will be held Monday, November 6, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326. Funeral service will occur on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 640 N Minaret Ave, Turlock, CA 95380. Committal service will occur Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326.
