Lila Wilson, a resident of Modesto for over 65 years, passed away peacefully at the age of 85. Lila was born in Eagle Butte, South Dakota on February 11, 1930. She came from a hard working farm family in the depths of the depression. Lila met her beloved husband Bob Wilson and married in 1949. They were lovingly married for over 65 years. Bob and Lila have been a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 28 years. Lila was a homemaker and a wonderful mother to Roger Wilson and Kay Sarnoff-Wilson. She is survived by her husband, Bob Wilson and her two grandchildren, Phillip Wilson of Tomball, TX and Jessica Sarnoff-Wilson of Mariposa, CA.
A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 25th from 4 - 8PM and a Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, March 26th at 10AM; both to be at Lakewood Funeral Home Heritage Chapel 900 Santa Fe Avenue in Hughson.
