

Born October 01, 1932, in Holder, TX, she was the daughter of the late William J. Snow and Lizzie E. Snow. Margaret attended Modesto High School and married Everett Pogue. She raised one son and two daughters while working as a waitress at McHenry Bowl. Margaret later became one of the first female bartenders in Modesto at two different restaurants, Cunha’s Ranch Inn and El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant. While working at Cunha’s Ranch Inn she met her second husband John A Jackson of Modesto. They were married for many years and traveled extensively including, Italy, China, Egypt and Mexico. She also made many trips to Maui and went on several cruises with sisters, friends, daughters and granddaughters. Margaret was a beautiful, spiffy, sparkly, and sassy lady who will be greatly missed. In addition to those wonderful qualities she was loving, generous, kind and cared deeply for her entire family. The care, love and advice she gave all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren will live forever in their hearts.
She is survived by her son James Pogue and his wife Debby of Avery, CA, daughter Sandra Anderson of Modesto, CA. daughter Maureen Richardson of Maui, HI and one daughter Susan Jackson of Bandon, OR. She is also survived by her sister, Flossie Saarloos of Manteca, CA and by ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren with a sixteenth on the way in November and two great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband John Jackson, she was predeceased by one grandchild Brian Pogue, six brothers, Delbert Snow, Dillard Snow, Doyle Snow, Leon Snow, William Snow and Virgil Snow, three sisters, Laura Oliver, Bernice Snow and Wilma Roberts.
The family sends a special thank you to Roxanna and Trudie of Provident Home Care for providing loving care and kindness to our mother. We would also like to thank Seva Hospice, who provided the most wonderful end-of-life care. A special thank you to Brian and Irene from Seva Hospice.
