Marvin Tackett, age 76, was a native of Crawford, Nebraska and a resident of Modesto. Marvin attended Idaho State and was a graduate of Shasta Junior College. He was a general contractor for many years. He was a Master Builder for Morrison Homes for twenty five years. He was very well respected for his knowledge and experience in the building industry.
He is survived by his son, Doug Tackett and wife Brenda of Ripon, CA; his daughter, Shari Gauthier and husband, Tom and two grandchildren, Nathan and Leah Gauthier, all of Sacramento, CA. Marvin was predeceased by his father, George Tackett, mother, Inez Tackett and sister, Georgene Smith.
Visitation will be from 10 AM to 12 Noon on Monday, January 27th at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, CA. Graveside service will be at 12 Noon immediately following the Visitation.
