Modesto G. Resendez, of Modesto, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. He was 79.
Modesto was born in Benavides, TX on May 22, 1934 to Modesto and Julia Resendez. He lived in Texas until age 20 and has since resided in California. He worked as a farm labor contractor for many years, and also as a forestry contractor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings. Also by his beloved granddaughters, Desiree and Brooke. He is survived by his wife Elva Resendez, children Sandra Fagundes, Maggie (Martin) Garcia, Jorge (Melba) Martinez, Jaime Martinez, Modesto (Amy) Resendez, Felix (Nikki) Resendez and Leticia (David) Ruiz plus 22 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 15th from 1–5pm. Services and Burial will be held on Monday, September 16th at 10AM. Both at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Hughson.
