Morgan was born in Modesto, attended local schools, including Beyer and MJC, where she was active in swimming and water polo. She entered the USAF Reserve November 2004 as a Flight medic and was proud to be a member of the 349th AES Wing at Travis AFB. She participated in flights to Hawaii, England, Germany and throughout the US, where she particularly enjoyed being able to help care for our wounded servicemen and women.
She also volunteered as a medic for a summer in Denali National Park, where she maintained and ran an ambulance as needed, while living alone in a rustic log cabin that had no running water or electricity, using propane for lights and cooking. Morgan was befriended by several Alaskan coworkers, especially Bill Ellis, who enabled her to see and experience many of Alaska's sights and activities rarely seen by non-natives. She attended school one summer in Nong Kai, Thailand and was an avid traveler and animal lover.
Morgan, cherished daughter, sister, wife, died September 26th after a brief illness. She is survived by mother, Laura Fairhurst, father, David Strong, brother, Clayton Strong (Jennifer), niece, Emma, Grandparents, Bill & Wanda Owens, John & June Fairhurst, uncle, Russ Owens (Catherine Bertie), aunt, Vikki Leonard, the Hites family of Ashland, Oregon and Reno, Nv. She also leaves several cousins and many coworkers and friends.
Morgan was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jordan Roberts, who died 4 Feb. 2009. She never recovered from his loss and mourned and honored him until her death.
Our family would like to thank the doctors and staff of DMC and Community Hospice, who gave excellent and particularly loving care to our child.
