

On Tuesday, December 15, 2020, Paula González Mireles, loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother, entered into heaven at the age of 84, where she reunited with her husband of over 60 years, Noe Mireles. She is preceded in death by her husband, Noe Mireles, her parents, Leobardo González and Piedad Solis, her son, Jesús, her brothers, Juan, Felipe, and Antonio, and her sisters Juana, Blanca Guadalupe, and Ramona. She is survived by her daughters Janie Othón, Diamantina Cuiriz, Sylvia Mireles, and Patricia Mireles, her sisters Luzgarda and Amelia, her grandchildren David, Mónica, Richard, Raúl Iván, Sandra, and Jesse, as well as eleven great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Paula was born in China, Nuevo León, México on September 15, 1936. She moved to Texas and spent decades working as a migrant farm worker throughout the United States. Paula then worked at Tri-Valley Growers in Modesto, California, where she and her family settled in the 1970s. Paula had a passion for putting family first, taking care of everyone she loved at all costs, and showing her love through her amazing cooking. Paula was known for unique personality, her strong faith in God, her infectious smile and laughter, and her kind, generous, and compassionate spirit. Mami, as she was referred to by her children and grandchildren, was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
