She was born in Borger, TX and moved to CA when she was 7 years old. She resided in Modesto, Denair, Hughson, and Turlock area throughout her life. Phyllis was a member of the Denair Missionary Baptist Church for over 20 years. She worked at Stanislaus County Office of Education as a paraprofessional for 30 years before retiring in 2018.
Phyllis enjoyed reading the Bible, volunteering, crafting, being around family, having lunch with her friends, and photography.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter Melissa Wieser, son-in-law John Wieser, grandchildren Olivia Wieser and Thomas Wieser all of Turlock, six brothers, and many other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her son Walter Glover II, her parents Valentin & Cresencia Flores, and one brother.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, Sept 15, at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson. A service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, Sept 16, followed by a graveside. Reception will be held at Denair Missionary Baptist Church following services.
