Rafael Salazar Oviedo, 62, of Modesto, California passed away. He battled cancer for three months and on September 1, 2011, at Memorial Hospital, he left to be with the Lord. He was born in Linares, Nuevo León, México. He lived in California for 38 years. He worked for Hershey's for 23 years as a steel roll machine operator and also at Ball Metal Containers for three years. On his spare time he loved to sing, go fishing, and play his accordion and bajosexto. He was survived by his wife Irma Oviedo and seven children, Raphael, Jasmine, Benji, Veronica, Rafael, Julianne, and Sonia Oviedo, brothers Angel, Santiago, Raul, Lupino, and sister Raquel Oviedo and thirteen grandchildren.
