Raymond was born on December 18, 1929. He was born in Turlock, CA. He is survived by a sister, Emma Carey and a brother, Eugene Christiansen. Ray is also survived by two children in Oregon and a daughter in Fresno, Debbie Oliver. He was preceded in passing by his wife, Donna Christiansen and a sister, Barbara Johnstad. He leaves many nieces and nephews.
Ray dropped out of high school and joined the Navy at the age of 17 years old. He spent 10 years in the Navy and 2 1/2 years in the Army Paratroopers.
Ray worked at various occupations throughout his life. He was a lover of the outdoors and he lived to fish; his favorite past time.
Ray became a Christian latter in life and was thankful for the forgiveness of his sins. He spent his last three years living at the V.A. Home in Fresno, CA.
