

Renaud Norman Fortin (Reno) loving husband to Cynthia Sue Fortin, married for over 60 years, passed away Saturday March 16, 2013 at Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Renaud Fortin, his parents Emile J. Fortin and Yvonne Bulduc of Quebec, Canada, and his siblings Arthur Fortin, Paul Fortin, Roger Fortin, Maurice Fortin, Rita Roukema, and Rachel LaPlante. He is survived by his wife Cynthia Sue Fortin, daughters: Karen Johnson of Chinese camp, Cindy Curci (Tony) of Ceres, Julie Methvin (Greg) of Galt, Lisa Carswell of Ceres, 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, siblings Teresa, and Arlene of New Hampshire and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, (Riverside Chapel) 900 Santa Fe Ave. Hughson Ca 95326, visitation will be on Sunday, March 24th from 12:00 noon – 4:00pm. Funeral service will be on Monday March 25th at 1:00pm. Reno was a Korean War veteran with the USAF. Born in Laconia, New Hampshire and moved to California when he was stationed at March AFB. After living in California he decided he never wanted to shovel snow again so he remained in California and made it his home. Reno retired from Norris Industries (Riverbank Army Ammunition) after 35 years. He began his career as a Tool and Die Maker and retired as a Mechanical Engineer. He was an active member of the IAM before entering into management. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, golfing and taking his family camping. He also loved to bowl and was a member of the bowling league for many years. He was a loving husband, an awesome father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to many and will be forever missed and in our hearts.
