Robert Lee Burns

Robert Lee (Bob) Burns passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Before his retirement in December of 2013, he was a ranch foreman for over 40 years for Nickel Family LLC (San Juan Ranch) in Dos Palos and Firebaugh. He enjoyed spending time with his family; especially going to watch his grandchildren in their many activities. He loved the SF Giants and the Forty Niners and the Dos Palos Broncos. Bob also enjoyed boating, NHRA Drag Racing, swimming, hunting, deep sea fishing, traveling and spending time in the mountains. He will be remembered by many for his infectious smile.

Bob is survived by his Wife of 42 ½ years, Cynthia (Bianculli) Burns, Children Michael T. and Nicole (Johnson) Burns of Dos Palos, Shelby (Burns) and Marcos Huerta of Dos Palos, Ryan Burns and fiancée Felna Fernandez of Fresno and Summer (Burns) and Joey Magdaleno of Clovis, Grandchildren Mia Strawberry Burns, David Burns, Mateo Huerta, Kira Huerta, Jenna Magdaleno, Khloe Magdaleno and Noah Magdaleno, Brothers John and Pam (Chambers) Burns of Los Banos, Daniel and Jean (Rose) Burns of Dos Palos and sister Patricia (Burns) and Donald Widlund of Springfield, MO, Sister in law Sandy (Gehrke) Burns of North Carolina and many more family members. He is predeceased by his Parents Sherman Ray Burns and Joy Louise (Cogburn) Burns and a Brother Cecil Burns.

Funeral arrangements and interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Hughson, CA. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Visitation to be held from 11am – 1pm in the Riverside Chapel followed by a Graveside Service at 2pm and a Celebration of Life at 4pm at the Dos Palos D.E.S. Hall. Donations in Bob’s name may be made to The American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
