Sam Lal passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Sam was born in Suva, Fiji Islands. He was the second child of Mr. and Mrs. Deo Raj. He married Bindra Mangal on August 25th, 1973 in Suva, Fiji Islands. He worked as a lead supervisor for PWD for 21 years in Suva. He immigrated to USA in 1986 with his wife and two daughters settling in Modesto, CA. He ventured into his own business as a mechanic in Modesto, CA. He will be dearly missed by his wife, daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, bother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, many family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife Bindra Lal, daughters Shallyine Lal, Angeline Ellars, son-in-law Billy Ellars, 3 grandchildren: Narada Vergilio, Sophia Ellars, Ronan Ellars, he is also survived by his seven siblings: John Lal, Margaret Singh, Edward Raj, Kamla DeoRaj, David Lal, Anila Singh and Doreen Singh and their children all of whom reside in Sydney, Australia. He leaves behind many more loved ones all around the world. He touched many lives in his life and has left a wonderful legacy behind.
