Steven peacefully went on to be with the Lord Sunday at home.
A visitation for Steven will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, in the Riverside Chapel 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, California. A funeral service will occur Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM, graveside service to follow.

Steven resided in Empire California where he lived most of his life. He was a graduate of Beyer High School, class of 1983. He was a Pipefitter for Local Union 437 and 442. He later retired after 36 years, but continued to teach as an Apprenticeship Instructor. He was dedicated and truly enjoyed his career. Steven was involved in many activities such as bowling, church, pin-trading, as well as gymnastics, Girl Scouts, and off-road club with his family. Steven was an avid Raiders fan who loved anything to do with friends getting together. He was loving, helpful, and devoted to his family and friends.

His Father David Stearns of Empire, Gloria Stevens of Sacramento, His Daughters Jennifer Upperman of Mi Wuk Village, Ashleigh Stearns of Modesto, Elisabeth Wessling of Empire, Lyndsey Bryant of Tuolumne, seven grandchildren, his Sister Sheri Knopf of Sacramento, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his Mother Jeanette Stearns, Sister Debbie Stearns and Brother Scott Stearns. Steven will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but warmly welcomed home.
