It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Teresa Reynoso Corona, who left us on November 3, 2024, at the age of 88. A cherished and beloved member of her family, Teresa touched the lives of all who knew her with her generous spirit, warmth, and unwavering support for those in need.
Throughout her life, Teresa’s passions—family, music, gardening, animals, the thrill of lottery tickets, and her love of visiting the casino—remained close to her heart until the very end; an end she faced with remarkable courage, tenacity, and the comfort of being surrounded by those she loved.
Born on September 14, 1936, in Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato, Mexico, Teresa carried with her a deep kindness and a boundless love throughout a life filled with adversity and triumph. Finally settling in Empire, California, she lived for sixty years in a house built by herself and her family. Made with love, the house served as a refuge in times of need and as a place of joy for the family to gather around. Her legacy is one of hard work, laughter, and a collection of cherished notebooks filled with her prayers, dreams, and stories.
Teresa is survived by her seven children, 23 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild on the way. She was the heart of this large and loving family who will always be inspired by her grace, determination and loyalty. While we will miss her more than words can express, her love, wisdom, and warmth will continue to guide us in all that we do.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 12th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lakewood Memorial Heritage Chapel, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, with a Rosary service from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 13th, at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 7820 Fox Rd, Hughson, followed by burial at Lakewood Cemetery.
