Thomas Joseph Arnemann

Tom was born in Tacoma, Washington to James and Catherine (Cunningham) Arnemann. He served in the U.S. Army and completed a tour of duty in Viet Nam after which he was honorably discharged.

Tom married the love of his life, Susan Sawyer Arnemann, on 1/31/81. They had two children, Andrea Beth, May 1983 and Meghan Anne on 6/05/84. Meghan was a joyful addition to their family and they made many wonderful memories together before Susan’s sudden passing in 2009.

Tom was employed as a surveyor for the M.I.D. He was grateful that his “office” was the great outdoors. Tom was an avid reader, especially enjoying westerns and science fiction. Tom also liked to cook and bake for his family, sometimes adding unusual ingredients just for fun. After retirement he became the family cook and Susan was delighted with the arrangement.

Tom is predeceased by his wife, Susan, his infant daughter, Andrea, his parents and his in-laws, Eldon and Imogene Sawyer. Tom is survived by his daughter, Meghan, and his brothers, Jim and John, his sister-in-law, Sheryl Bracht (Ted), brother-in-law, Craig Sawyer (Lisa) and several nieces and nephews.

Donations to the American Heart Association may be made in Tom’s memory.

Services are private, according to Tom’s wishes.
