
On January 12, 2011 in Modesto, California, Wanda Lee Smullen lost her battle with cancer and is now with the Lord. She passed peacefully in her home with family and friends nearby. She was born Wanda Lee Korner, April 23, 1942 in Turtle Lake, North Dakota. Loving daughter of the late Jacob Korner and Vera Pollik. Loving wife of the late Albert Smullen of Modesto. She is survived by her son, Gregory Smullen, daughter Kimberly Johnson and husband Tim of Modesto, brothers, Dwayne Paul Evans and wife June of Eureka, William Rash of Sacramento, sister Joyce Bredwell and husband Robert of Sacramento, sister Diana Metts-Helmold and husband Richard of Meadow Vista, brother Ronald Korner of Texas, Grandchildren Heather Smullen, Cassandra Smullen and John Klink, Dustin Johnson, Rebekah Smullen, Jenna Johnson and Great Grandchildren Joshua Jones, Avery Harrington, and Sophia Klink all of Modesto.
Wanda retired as Plant Superintendant for Blue Diamond Almond Growers in Salida after working for 38 years in both the Sacramento and the Salida facilities. She relocated her family to Modesto in 1979 to open the Salida processing facility. She was devout family women and an amazing Wife, Mother, Sister, Grand Mother and friend. She will be missed.
Memorial Services scheduled for Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 1:00PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, CA.
