Waneka Betty Fay Allen

July 9, 2014

"Entered into Rest" on Wednesday July 9, 2014 at Hospice House in Hughson, CA with her family by her side. She was born in Lookeba, OK and has lived in Stanislaus County for 77 years. She loved cooking, crocheting, traveling, spending time with family and friends. She graduated from Modesto High School in 1950. She was a seasonal cannery line worker and also worked at John Ingalls-United Foods.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years Clyde E. Allen of Ceres. She is also survived by 5 children: David & Diana Allen of Modesto, Ron & Deb Allen of Cabot, Ark, Merle & Suzette Allen of Ceres, Marilyn & Bob Jackson of Atwater, and Carolyn & Ross Darby of Ceres. She had 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. She also has 2 surviving brothers: Kenneth McKinzie of Redding, and Jimmy McKinzie of Modesto. Waneka is preceded in death by her parents Mary and Clifford McKinzie and brother Dennis.

Services: Visitation-Monday, July 14, 2014 from 4-8 pm at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, Ca. 95326. Graveside services on July 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home. Donations in lieu of flowers to Hospice House, 2201 Euclid Ave, Hughson, Ca. 95326.
