It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Joseph Randle, Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and proud veteran, who passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on August 17, 2025.
Bill was born on October 25, 1931 to parents John Marvin and Nancy Randle. Being one out of ten children, Bill dedicated his time to working at the local lumberyard at the age of 12. From there, he continued to grow his employment experiences by working on oil rigs, and later at a cardboard box plant, where he later retired.
Born with a strong spirit and a generous heart, Bill answered the call of duty early in life, proudly serving his country as a member of the United States Army. He was stationed in Korea, where he demonstrated unwavering dedication and courage—qualities that would define him throughout his life.
After his military service, Bill found joy in life’s simpler pleasures. He had a deep love for the outdoors, especially the quiet serenity of a lake, fishing rod in hand. Bill served as an Usher at First Baptist Church (CrossPoint) in Modesto, as well as attended a mission trip to an orphanage in Mexico. Bill was a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ, and practiced His word proudly.
Bill shared a lifelong bond with his beloved wife, Barbara Sue, who preceded him in death. Together, they embraced adventure, traveling the country in their cherished 5th-wheel trailer. From coast to coast, they created memories and friendships that enriched their lives and brought joy to others.
Above all, Bill cherished his family. He was a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather, and nothing brought him more pride than watching the next generations grow. His laughter, warmth, and steady presence will be deeply missed at every family gathering.
Bill's life was a testament to love, service, and quiet strength. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, kindness, and deep familial love.
He is survived by his daughter Charleen Frenette (Michael); grandson Cody Frenette (Kaci), granddaughter Courtney Loveland (Jeremiah), grandson Kevin Randle (Jessica), grandson James William (Meagan); granddaughter Amber Lewis; brother William Thomas Randle; and his beloved great-grandchildren. Bill is preceded in passing by his parents, his four brothers, his four sisters, his beloved wife, and his son.
May he rest in peace, reunited with his beloved Sue, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
