Wilma F. Martin passed away on September 6, 2012 in Modesto. She was born on August 29, 1925 in Altus Oklahoma. Along with her husband and family, they operated the store at Turlock Lake for 15 years making endless friends and additions to the family. She was a member of the Roberts Ferry Mother's Club and worked part time for the Stanislaus County Sheriff's office Public Guardian Division. Wilma is survived by her 3 children, Mike Martin (Jan) of Morgan Hill, CA, Nick Martin of Modesto, and Cindy Crane of LaGrange; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; and her great friend, Fern Goodman of Chehalis WA. She was preceded in passing by her husband of 47 years, Mike Martin; sisters by marriage, Lucy Ostrowski and Matilda Martin; and son-in-law, Greg Crane. Viewing will be at 9am and Funeral Service will be at 11am on Thursday, September 13th; both held at Lakewood Funeral Home (Riverside Chapel). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice of Modesto.
