thanks for giving me my name and being there as i grew up, all my childhood memories, which are few, involve you more than any one else in my family.  you taught me to love nature and never think bad of any one, and to accept all people as they are God's creatures, equal.

My lovely dad, you know that i lost my dad when i was 17 years old and I considered you as my father exactly since I got married your daughter Antoinette , 35 years a go i was honored to be one of your family and i stayed side by side with you until your last breath to be with JESUS CHRIST IN HEAVEN I am sure that you are there waiting us , i will never forget the lovely days when we were walking and swimming in Alexandria and Canada, it's my life with you, if i started to complete my message to you I will not stop writing and i think that all papers in the world are not enough to remember you, good buy gedo zaky and we will meet again, God bless your soul. your son in law , sammy Hanna

My father Zaki, you were the best father and grand father ever. You taught us to love everybody, even our enemy. You taught us to lean on God for everything. 

   You never saw you mother because she died when you were a little baby. Despite of that, you were more tender hearted than lots of mothers.

   When we immigrated to Canada, you sold everything you owned in Egypt and distributed it to your children. You did not take anything for yourself. You wanted to see us happy and enjoying our life while you were alive.

   You were never demanding, critical or materialistic. You were always satisfied,positive and thanking God in the good and bad. You taught us by example.

   I love you and I miss you very much.

You will be sadly miss by all of our family.  I will always remember your smile and your happiness for life, your joie de vie. It was always a pleasure to hear you sing.  You loved everyone around you. 

Jesus said to his disciples: 'Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way to the place where I am going.' Gedo Zaki...There are not enough good words in this world to describe how much your love has influenced me and everyone around you. Although my memories in Egypt with you are few, they are profound. I remember how you would take me fishing and although I was a little boy among men, you instilled courage in me to do what I love no matter what others think. Your life lessons carried on in Canada as well as you were constantly teaching me to do well by God and not let anything ever bother me. You were truly a teacher by example as you were the most peaceful and calm soul I have ever met. I love you very much Gedo and I am sure we will meet again through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will miss you very much Geddo Zaki.  I learned a lot from you and you were always a great example to look up to.  I will always remember your wisdom and the advice you gave to all of us your grand children.  I will also always remember the many times we went to the beach early mornings in Alexandria and how you always taught me to be healthy and fit, but most of all I will always remember how you took us to Sunday school at church when we were very little and sat down beside us several times until we were comfortable.  You sang and clapped with all the kids to show a good example for us.  You truly were an example worthy to learn from as you followed in the footsteps of the greatest teacher, our Lord and savior Jesus when he said in Matthew 11:29, "Learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."  Thank you Geddo for the humble and simple life you lived so that we can all have a better life.  Your memory will always be living in our hearts until we meet again with our Lord.
