Albert Charles Hulse
June 6, 1974 – May 3, 2021
Albert C. Hulse was a wonderful and caring man that made such an impact on those he met and the many for whom he cared deeply.
He was born on June 6, 1974, in Miami, Florida, son of Milly Hulse and Tito Hulse, the youngest of 7 siblings (Debbie, Nellie, Betty, Alexia, Wallace, and Patrick), and dedicated husband to Jeannette Santiago-Hulse.
Al was an incredible son to his mother – she was truly his number one and he showed her his love by caring for her daily. He was also an amazing brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin to his family – sister Debbie, niece April Fletcher, her husband JC, and their son, nephew Ethan; sister Nellie Ordiales, brother-in-law Ady, niece Nicole, and nephew Erik; sister Betty McGirr, brother-in-law Gary, niece Meagan and her daughter Maddison, and niece Gabriella; sister Alexia Salazar, brother-in-law Jorge, and nephew Dylan; brother Wallace, sister-in-law Valerie, and nephew Jake Albert; brother Patrick, sister-in-law Viridiana, nephew Cristian, and niece Luna; aunt Queeny Diaz; and cousins Elvira and Joe Galvez and their children.
Albert grew up in Houston, Texas with his family and had a lifelong friendship with Nathan Pickney – Al was godfather to Nathan’s children (Jasmine, Ashanti, Matthew, and Elijah).
On May 3, 2021, at the age of 46, Al left us and joined Grandad Erik & Granny Minga, Grandad (Wallace) & Gran (Alexia) Hulse, Uncle Bibby (Jesus) Diaz, and Gary “Papa” Vega in Heaven after a tremendously hard-fought battle against COVID-19.
Albert was an incredible person – full of life, laughter, and love – with a funny and child-like personality that we all loved, and the kids adored. He lived his life loving his family completely and as a passionate sports fanatic. He looked forward to and thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings; football Sundays, sporting events, and catering parties with his brother Wallace; the time he shared with family and friends; and anything involving sweets.
In Al’s fun-loving way – he left a message for us…
“Wipe them tears, get your rasses up. Eat sweets, play lots of games, laugh a lot, and most importantly never forget how much I loved each and every one of you!”
Albert is dearly loved and will be missed by all of us until we see him again.
