Charles W. Dutton

On September 23rd, 1957 a baby boy was born to The late Thomas and Geneva Edmondson, and was parented by The late Raphael and Mattie Dutton which they named Charles Wilbur Dutton. Charles was raised in a Christian home with much Love and Respect. Charles accepted Christ at an early age and in his later years he united with the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Q.L. Jackson where he remained a member until his death.

Charles attended public schools in the Houston Independent School District and graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School in 1976. Charles was employed in November of 1976 with the Metropolitan Transit Authority where he was a dedicated employee for over 30 years until he retired in 2012. After retiring Charles spent his spare time doing what he loved the most which was Fishing and Hunting.

In 1985 Charles met and married Rhonda Gail and to this union three children were born. Their relationship was different from many but they demonstrated Love in the mist of it all.

Charles took his flight to eternity on Tuesday, November 18th ,2014 @ 10:32 PM with family by his side.

He leaves to mourn : Wife, Rhonda Gail, 2 Sons, DeJulius and Raphael (Robin), 1 Daughter, De Dria , Grandchildren, Kamron, Karter, Raven, Rayne and River. 2 Brothers, Paul Davidson(Cynthia) and Thomas Edmondson Jr. (Dee),1 Sister, Genice Ryan (Ray) and 2 Sisters-In –Law, Aundria Edwards and Dr. Karen Green. A host of Aunts , Uncles , Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Friends. Also sharing in our Lost but Heavens Gain is a special friend Lola Pervis.
