Francisco “Pancho” Gonzalez passed away on April 5, 2022 at the age of 74, in his hometown of Houston, TX surrounded by loved ones. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and no complaints. Despite the pain, Francisco came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.
As a child, Francisco’s dream was to come to United States. But before that during his young years he served in the Mexican Army and graduated with a nursing degree. Soon after he accomplished this he headed out to Houston, TX to become a longshoreman. He was very proud of being a longshoreman union worker for ILA Local 24 until he retired October 2021 serving for more than 38 years.
Francisco met the love of his life, Olga, on a blind date. He proposed to her after 2 years of dating and lived a wonderful life with many ups and downs for 50 years. Together, they had 3 children: Olga Edith, Sandra and Araceli.
The simplest pleasures of life brought great joy to Francisco. He loved road trips and always being surrounded by loved ones.
Francisco is survived by his mother Dolores Gutierrez, Wife Olga , Daughter Olga Edith spouse Jose Manuel, Daughter Sandra and Daughter Araceli spouse Clemente. Grandchildren-Jediara, Diego, Omar, Alessandra and Lizzette. Great- Granddaughter. Delayla
